🎹FACULTY SPOTLIGHT: Soprano vocalist, conductor, and educator - Dr. Stephanie Council is joining the M2 Studio team! She is an Associate Director of Choral Studies and Assistant Professor of Choral Music at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she conducts the University Chorale and Chamber Choir and teaches Choral Conducting, Choral Literature, and Choral Methods. Dr. Council sings professionally with mirabai, a professional women’s ensemble conducted by Dr. Sandra Snow and the San Antonio Chamber Choir, a professional chamber choir conducted by Richard Bjella. In the past, she has been engaged to sing with the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir and at the Spoleto Festival USA. She is on the board of the Nevada chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and has served on the board of the Massachusetts chapter of ACDA and the National Board of the National Collegiate Choral Organization (NCCO) in the past. Council received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral conducting and a graduate certificate in early music performance practice from Texas Tech University. She holds a Master of Music with distinction in choral conducting from Westminster Choir College and two Bachelor of Music degrees in both vocal music education and vocal music performance from Oklahoma State University.

🎹FACULTY SPOTLIGHT: Christophe Kennedy (Bass-Baritone) received his Masters of Arts in Vocal Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the direction of Dr. Dean Southern. Prior to his graduate program, he completed his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas under the direction of Dr. Alfonse Anderson. He attended Legacy High School in Las Vegas, Nevada and quickly claimed the Vegas Valley his home. Christophe has extensive performance experience where he performed roles such as Roat (Wait Until Dark), Snoopy (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown) and the Cowardly Lion (The Wizard of Oz). During his time with UNLV Opera, he performed roles such as Figaro (Le nozze), Colline (La Boheme), Bottom (Midsummer’s), King Claudius (Hamlet), and Leporello (Don Giovanni). While at CIM he was casted as The Chamberlain (Le Rossignol), L’Ombre (L’Enfant et les sortilege), Thésée (Hippolyte e Ariciee), and The Father (The Juniper Tree). Currently he’s performing the role of Jonathan in Donte Miller’s The Rocking Chair and will soon star in Opera Las Vegas’s The Bremen Town Musicians as General Boom. Christophe is excited to work the faculty and students at Mosaic Music Studio. In his free time, Christophe loves to compose music works such as symphonies, choral pieces, & piano concertos.

👤Student Profiles: LUCAS L.
• Lucas is a baritone voice student at Mosaic Music Studio. Some of his goals are to explore new genres of music and create more awareness in his body. Fun fact, Lucas also plays the bassoon!

🎹STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Ms. Rabuel Aviles is the Administrative Assistant for Mosaic Music Studio. Rabuel is a Mexican-American Mezzo-Soprano from Las Vegas, Nevada. She has studied voice at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she has performed roles such as The Chinese Tea Cup in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges, Oberon in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Mother Marie of the Incarnation in Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites. She has performed with Opera Las Vegas & Vegas City Opera for many years. She is currently a local performer in the Vegas Valley. She enjoys working with the students and staff at Mosaic Music Studio.

• Tyler is a baritone voice student at Mosaic Music Studio. One of his goals is to open up and free his voice through technique so that he can explore different genres of music. Tyler is also thrilled about building a stronger foundation for his breath support.

• Nick is a voice student at Mosaic Music Studio. He attended Pace University where he earned a B.A. in Acting and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Nick is excited to learn any aspect of performing and he is ready to take his voice to new heights!
