"Give me liberty or give me death!" is a quotation delivered by American politician and orator Patrick Henry from a speech he made to the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775, at St. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were delegates to the Convention and the speech was vital to Virginia committing troops to the cause of the Revolutionary War.
