In honor of International Women's Day, let's celebrate the power and potential of girls today and inspire action to help more girls worldwide realize their full potential!
Girl Rising, a global campaign for girls' education, created a groundbreaking film that chronicled the stories of nine girls in the developing world, allowing viewers the opportunity to witness how education can break the cycle of poverty. Now, this incredible film has been adapted into a new book, which combines the personal stories of the girls featured in the film with current research on the barriers to girls' education, including child marriage, s*x trafficking, gender discrimination, and poverty. With plenty of tips on how to make a difference, this powerful book is a fantastic resource for teens and adults who would like to better understand this complex issue and learn how to take action for girls worldwide.
