Some weeks remind me exactly why I do this work.
This week was filled with courage, preparation, and young artists stepping into rooms ready to be seen.
Mia — 1st Place at (Junior Division) for “Sunday in the Park” and awarded an $80,000 scholarship to .
Max — awarded a $60,000 scholarship to AMDA for “Mr. Cellophane.”
Sean — 2nd Place at MTCA for “Why God Why?”
And my cousin Madison — advancing on Netflix’s after defeating the defending champion with “A Million Dreams.” Next round live on February 17. Grand prize: $500,000.
The awards are exciting.
These accomplishments are life-changing.
But what means the most to me is their growth — their discipline, their consistency, their willingness to take risks.
Talent is a gift.
Confidence is built.
Craft is trained.
If you are a serious young singer — in Las Vegas or anywhere in the U.S. — and you’re ready to do focused, intentional work, I offer both in-person coaching in Las Vegas and online sessions for out-of-state students.
Results come from clarity, structure, and belief.
Onward.
Namaste.

Full-circle night and my heart is full.
I finally got to sit in the audience and watch Majestic Repertory Theatre’s original production of Showgirls: An Unauthorized Musical Parody—a project I proudly vocal directed. Seeing this cast absolutely deliver after all the work we put in together? Pure joy. Fearless, hilarious, and kicked ass!!!
Another unexpected connection from a cast member: I finally got to collaborate on a project with my former colleague Eric Amblad from my days on the theater faculty at LVA. Different chapter, same artistic commitment.
I brought my University of Miami musical theatre professor, Margot Moreland (Go Canes), plus friends—including one who made me the perfect custom Showgirls tee. And because the universe has perfect timing, composer James Edwards was seated right behind us.
The audience was stacked with love too—running into my high school classmate Serena (GO LVA) and finally meeting Ann Martinez, whose artistry I’ve admired since Bat Out of Hell. We have a connection through my other former UM professor, Paul Mockovak, who taught her at SUNY Fredonia. As Paul would say, “FRED WORKS!”
To the cast and crew: well done on creating something bold and new. Thank you Troy Heard for always bringing me into the room, and James Edwards for the collaboration and trust. Theater is family, the connections are real, and I’m just so grateful to be part of this community.
Love and light.Keep singing, bitches!!!Namaste.

A week overflowing with theater.
It started with four hours of auditions for the iconic .amp So much talent in the room—and a full-circle moment seeing former students audition for Les Misérables, Finding Nemo, and Grease. Grateful to and for having me.
Then off to vocal directing rehearsals for the upcoming original work Thank you to creators and .e.edwards for trusting me with your work. This cast is a total glitter bomb—keep an eye out for this one in 2026.
The week wrapped with a blast from the past. Fellow .burr_sir invited me to Liberty High School to play auditions for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee—the first time the program has had a live pianist. Truly honored.
In between it all: online and in-person lessons with my private students.
Exhausted. Grateful.
Thankful for the music, the theater, and the friendships that keep showing up.

This afternoon was a full circle moment.
I spent the day with my vocal coach of three decades, Maestro Greg Enriquez, as he worked with two of my students, Kaylee and Truth. Watching him guide them reminded me of how much I’ve learned from him over the years and how deeply this bel canto technique has shaped my own journey.
It wasn’t until Greg moved to Europe that I truly began to understand how privileged I was to study with him. Today I felt that privilege again, but this time with the added joy of passing that knowledge on to the next generation of artists.
Even though oceans and miles may separate us, the pursuit of vocal freedom and artistry keeps us connected—and keeps all of us who walk this path connected.
And yes, I loved being a student again today. Because the truth is, I’ll always be a student. Of this technique. Of music. Of life.
Singing is life. That’s all there is to it.
Maraming salamat po Kuya Greg for everything! Namaste 🙏

Hi insta family!
If you’ve ever sung with me—student, castmate, choir buddy, colleague—I’d love to sing with you one more time.
I’m inviting folks to join the finale of my student recital on August 17, singing “The Song of Purple Summer” from Spring Awakening with my current students.
We’ll have a pro band, a couple of chill rehearsals (Aug 3 & 10), and a chance to lift each other up through music.
Singing brings people together—and I’ve never forgotten a single voice I’ve shared music with. You’re still part of my sound.
If this speaks to you, then come sing. Let’s make something beautiful—together. 💛
Message me if you’re in!
Namaste 🙏

Full circle moment. 🌟
This week I returned to the campus that helped shape me — LVA — to watch my current students shine in an outdoor cabaret and a magical production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was more than just a show — it was a reunion of past, present, and future.
I saw Amanda’s husband and their daughter Roman (whom I now teach), cheered on my student Sean during his powerful solo, and finally got to meet Mia and Cydney in person after only seeing them online. I sat beside my friend Chris to watch his daughter Kaylee perform, alongside my amazing students Abbie and Theo. I even reconnected with Theo’s parents, Jolana (we have a song coming out soon!) and Will, who I’ve worked with in theater before.
And seeing Jamie, a former student now studying Theater Education at SUU? That was the cherry on top. Oh — and Casey, one of my first students, is now a theater teacher at LVA. 🥹
So many moments, so many connections. I left with a full heart.
