Happy St Patrick’s Day Rebels!! This St Paddy’s Day, we’re lucky to have members like our Community Service Project Liason, Virgil Clayton. Virgil is always looking for ways to get the Rebel Vets involved in our greater community, and that’s exactly what he did for the kids of J E Manch Elementary School!

Virgil coordinated some of our Rebel Vets stopping by the school to read to the kids, many of whom are the children of local service members! This is also why the school was named a Purple Star School, which means they demonstrate a major commitment to military-connected students and families!

Congrats to J E Manch Elementary, and great work by Virgil for getting our veterans involved!!

Your Rebel Vets were invited to a local National Guard Armory to attend a meeting with Senator to talk about her work on the National Defense Authorization Act of 2026! We were also pleased to have our very own Executive Director of the UNLV Military and Veteran Services Center Ross Bryant!

The NDAA was passed to help ease the transition of our veterans into civilian life, also allowing service members to include their current contact information in discharge documents so they can be told about the resources available to them. We thank the Senator and the National Guard for the opportunity to be invited, involved, and be heard on veterans issues!
