Through years of nursing experience and advocacy surrounding medical cannabis, we have found that it is not uncommon that most doctors are reluctant to approve medical cannabis as a treatment option for their patients. Medical schools do not teach about the endocannabinoid system or cannabis' potential benefits, medicinal uses and history. When this lack of information is added to the concerns many healthcare providers have regarding the legal and professional implications of cannabis recommendations, it is understandable that patients have difficulty finding a physician who can help or understand their desire to use medical cannabis.

Not surprisingly to me, the study also showed that cannabis has the potential to fight cancer cells themselves, by killing them and stopping their spread.
