Allan Hendrick
Teacher, Director, Actor

Allan trained at Drama Centre London and has been acting professionally for over thirty-five years. In addition to his acting career, Allan has extensive experience as a teacher of acting and liberal arts at the graduate and undergraduate levels; most notably at the University of Southern California where, for several years, he was Director of the BFA Acting program. His teaching approach focuses on the core principles of Stanislavski and the seminal work of Uta Hagen and Sanford Meisner. His work on classical text follows the teachings of Cicely Berry and John Barton - with both of whom he worked closely during his time at the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has taught privately as an acting coach in London and Los Angeles and is now pleased to offer private audition coaching in Las Vegas. He is available for single or multiple sessions in all genres, at all levels of experience including auditions for admission to university acting programs.

"The art of the theater is action. It is the study of commitment. The word is an act. To say the word in such a way as to make it heard and understood by all in the theater is a commitment - it is the highest art to see a human being out on a stage speaking to his or her peers saying, "These words which I am speaking are the truth - they are not an approximation of any kind. They are the God's truth, and I support them with my life," which is what the actor does on stage.
