Congratulations to all of our students for finishing another successful year at Bracken! We celebrated our final day with an end-of-the-year luau celebration for reaching our school-wide reading goal of 13 million words! Way to go Investi-Gators! We are so proud of you. Thank you to our wonderful families for their continued support! We couldn’t have done it without you. Wishing everyone a safe and fun summer!

As part of their Project Based Learning (PBL) unit on Financial Literacy, our 4th grade students hosted a marketplace event for staff and students in 2nd and 3rd grade! Using classroom dollars, visitors purchased goods created, manufactured and marketed by our talented 4th graders.

We are so proud of the creativity, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit our students demonstrated throughout this project. Way to go, 4th grade!

What a terrific way to end the week! Field Day was a HUGE success! The STEAM Club designed over 20 games for our students to participate in! From engineering obstacle courses to strategic team challenges, students had a blast! A huge thank you to the firefighters who visited today and helped everyone cool off with a fun water spray! We’re also incredibly grateful for our amazing family volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly. Your support, energy, and school spirit made a big difference for our students and staff!

To date, it has been an amazing Teacher Appreciation Week here at Bracken!
We kicked things off with delicious breakfast treats from our community partners at Horace Mann everyone loved the Pinkbox donuts and bagels! As an added surprise, Chance and the Vegas Golden Knight Cheerleaders, along with Deryk Engelland, stopped by with a fantastic SURPRISE lunch for our incredible staff.
It’s been such a joyful and uplifting week so far. Thank you to our community partners for making our staff feel so appreciated and celebrated!

Yesterday, our 5th graders had an incredible experience working with Cameron Tate and his team from Knit! Mr. Tate and his team, the architects behind our new school building, spent time with students sharing what it takes to plan and design a school.
Our students learned about the educational paths, creativity, and skills needed to succeed in the field of architecture, and even got a behind-the-scenes look at the design process.
Thank you, Mr. Tate and the entire Knit team not only for designing our beautiful new school, but for investing your time in helping our students understand how it all comes together from idea to reality!
