Congrats to Stephanie Perrone on receiving her B.A. in English with a concentration in Professional Writing and minor in Marketing. Stephanie was involved on campus in many ways – as student engagement programming assistant for COLA, copy editor for the Scarlet & Grey, senior editor of Beyond Thought journal, DSAC Recruitment and Public Relations committee member, resident assistant for Housing, and baritone section leader for the UNLV Star of Nevada Marching Band. Her favorite memory was supporting the College of Liberal Arts Open House. Kudos, Stephanie! UNLV College of Liberal Arts Alumni

Shoutout to Emilia Dang on receiving her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Gender & Sexuality. Emilia was a lead peer mentor for the Warrior Queen Project: A Women's Empowerment Program, Career and Professional Development committee member with DSAC, FYS peer mentor for COLA 100LA, IGES Research Fellow, Neon Pacific Initiative intern, and a COLA intern. Congratulations to Outstanding Grad Mayahuel Velazquez on receiving her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies with a 3.88 GPA. Maya has been a research assistant for UNLV’s Auditory Cognition and Development Lab the past two years. Her work received a best poster presentation award at UNLV’s annual undergraduate research symposium, and she was recognized as Research Assistant of the Year by her lab in 2025. Maya has held many positions on UNLV’s campus, including secretary of the university’s Psi Chi International Honor Society, COLA peer mentor, and assistant coordinator for the Outreach Undergraduate Mentoring Program.
Maya’s work off campus is just as impressive. She worked directly with clients during an internship with UNLV’s Mojave Counseling Adult Psychiatry and Mental Health Clinic, and she volunteered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and Three Square. Maya plans to continue her studies at UNLV, pursuing a master’s degree in couple and family therapy from the Kerkorian School of Medicine. Kudos on all your hard work, Maya. We are so proud of you!
