The CSN Art Galleries are proud to present "Elysian Dimensions", a traveling exhibition featuring the work of Nevada artist and CSN alumna Julia Gonzalez Hall.

Through vibrant color, expressive movement, and layered abstract forms, Hall explores the delicate balance between chaos and order, creating immersive works that invite personal interpretation and reflection. Inspired by her cultural heritage and multidisciplinary artistic practice, her paintings open a space for viewers to consider identity, emotion, and connection through the language of abstraction.

"Elysian Dimensions" is now on view at the CSN Charleston Campus Student Union Gallery through October 31, 2026, before traveling to the Henderson and North Las Vegas campuses.

Admission is free and open to the public.

On Display Now: "Under the Lens"

Now display now in the CSN Student Union Art Gallery, "Under the Lens" features paintings and drawings by Nevada artists and CSN alumni Autumn Belleque and Eric Wang. The exhibition presents a series of uniform 8" x 8" works that magnify organic subjects such as egg yolks, seeds, bread, fish scales, and fur, transforming familiar forms into abstract explorations of texture, pattern, and line.

By bringing natural science and fine art together, Under the Lens invites viewers to discover the hidden connections that unite our world.

Discover the work of Mary Cady Johnson (1914-2003), one of the most influential figures in Nevada art history. A painter, printmaker, educator, and arts advocate, Johnson helped shape the cultural landscape of Las Vegas while creating a remarkable body of work spanning paintings, drawings, prints, and etchings.

This exhibition features selected works from the Mary Cady Johnson Collection, generously donated to the College of Southern Nevada, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the color, energy, and artistic vision of a true Nevada arts pioneer.

"Skullwrapping", a traveling solo exhibition by Nevada artist and CSN student/alumnus Greg Lauck. Through a compelling series of graphite portraits, Lauck explores memory, imagination, and the subtle humanity found in every face. Rich in texture and emotion, these drawings reward a closer look.

Through vibrant color, expressive movement, and abstract forms, CSN alumna, Julia Gonzalez Hall explores the space between chaos and order, inviting viewers into immersive visual environments shaped by emotion, memory, and personal interpretation.

Inspired by her Guatemalan and Mexican heritage and informed by her background as a multidisciplinary artist, Hall's paintings create opportunities for reflection, conversation, and connection. "Elysian Dimensions" encourages visitors to discover their own meanings within each composition and consider the relationship between modern identity and visual culture.

Opening August 1 at the CSN Charleston Campus Student Union Gallery, this traveling exhibition will continue to the Henderson and North Las Vegas campuses throughout the year.

By bringing the familiar into sharp focus, "Under the Lens" reveals unexpected connections throughout the natural world, inviting viewers to look closer and discover beauty in the details.

Opening August 1 at the CSN North Las Vegas Campus Tyrone Thompson Student Union Gallery, this traveling exhibition will continue to the Charleston and Henderson campuses throughout the year.
