Still not over winter retreat!!

It is with our deepest condolences that we share the passing of Denise Acosta, a beloved member of the Latino Youth Leadership community.

Denise participated in the Latino Youth Leadership Conference in 2010. She volunteered as a Peer Facilitator in 2011- 2013, and was an active Executive Board member of the Latino Youth Leadership Alumni. Denise was passionate about her community, volunteering, and making a difference. She was a fearless woman of action, beyond LYLC she actively volunteered with Camp Anytown and was a sister of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc.

Denise was fun, outgoing, and easy to love. She made friends easily and was honest and authentic. Denise left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She touched the lives of countless students through her kindness, warmth, and genuine commitment to uplifting others. Her impact will continue to live on through the many students, peers, and colleagues she inspired along the way. We honor her memory and are grateful for the legacy she leaves within our LYLC familia.
