Latino Youth Leadership Conference

The LYLC brings together Latinx students for a week of leadership training and development. All accommodations and materials are provided.

The Latino Youth Leadership Conference brings together Latinx high school students in Nevada for six days of leadership training and development. Students are housed in the dorms of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During their stay, participants interact with a variety of topics and explore cultural identity. High School students between the ages of 16 and 18 are encouraged to apply. Participants are selected from all socio-economic backgrounds, academic standings, and from all over the state of Nevada. Participants attend the LYLC at NO cost to the student or their families. Mission:
The mission of the LYLC is to encourage our participants to pursue and complete higher education. We also aim to empower our participant's leadership development skills and encourage community service. The LYLC emphasizes culture, community, and family, as we advocate for our participants to succeed.

• Logistics Coordinator (3 positions)
• Social Media & Graphics Coordinator (1 position)
• Photographer (1 position)

Qualifications
• Must have participated in the LYLC or be familiar with our program.
• At least 1 year of experience as Peer Staff (Peer Facilitator and/or Lead Team), or equivalent professional experience.
• Flexible schedule for evening/weekend meetings.
• Must be available and on-site for the entire conference week (July 2027).

The application will close on October 30th and 11:59pm.

Day 3 & 4 of LYLC 📣

Students took a field trip to the College of Southern Nevada and Nevada State University to explore the many educational opportunities available to them! 🏫📚

In addition to touring the campuses and learning about academic programs, students heard from representatives of the A’s team, Parks and Recreation, Co-Libre Education, and participated in career conversations with professionals from a variety of fields. It was an inspiring day of learning, exploring future possibilities, and discovering new career paths. 💼💫

We can’t wait to see where their journeys take them! ✨
