New Mexico Highlands University School of Social Work is the oldest school of social work in New Mexico, dating back to 1974. It is also one of the oldest schools accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) in the Southwest.

This position plays an important role in helping keep our community safe, well-maintained, and in compliance with City codes and regulations.

💼 Starting Annual Salary: $39,395 – $44,012
💵 $18.94 – $21.16/hour, depending on certification
📅 Application Deadline: Thursday, August 27, 2026, no later than 5:00 PM MDT

Some qualifications include:
✅ Valid New Mexico driver’s license
✅ High school diploma or GED
✅ Experience in inspections, investigations, land use administration, or municipal code enforcement preferred
✅ Ability to obtain required zoning and Animal Control certifications within two years of employment
