✨ Preparing for what’s next starts with exploring what’s possible.
Our High School Advising Team brought together a day of opportunities designed to help our students and families look ahead, ask questions, and begin thinking about the next chapter of their educational journey.

From connecting with high school representatives to practicing important conversations and hearing firsthand experiences, students had meaningful opportunities to learn, explore, and build confidence along the way.

The day also included a High School Fair, open to students and families throughout the Las Vegas community, providing an opportunity for anyone interested to connect with schools and learn more about the possibilities ahead.

We’re grateful to the schools, admissions professionals, alum, and families who helped make the day such a valuable experience for our community. 💙🎓

✨ Faculty Spotlight: Congratulations to Rich Lehrer, Director of Academic Innovation and Design at The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain, on being named to the inaugural cohort of The 100! 🎉
🌟 The 100 recognizes independent school thought leaders advancing education innovation across the country. This year, nearly 600 educators representing over 300 schools in 36 states (and two countries) applied — and Rich was selected as one of just 100, honored for his outstanding work in curriculum design and academic leadership. 💡
📚 This November, Rich will join the cohort in Orlando for The 100 Summit, two days of keynotes, workshops, and panel conversations with leading voices in education.
👏 We are proud to have Mr. Lehrer representing Dawson on a national stage, and grateful for the innovative thinking he brings to our school community every day.

Some of our classrooms are getting a transformation. ✨

Swipe through for a look at two of our Middle School classrooms and the thinking behind their new spaces.

Every change started with one question: How do our students learn best?

From seating and classroom layout to lighting, color, and even where the teacher’s desk belongs, each detail was chosen with learning in mind. These aren’t changes made simply for a fresh look — they’re designed to create spaces that support how our students learn, collaborate, and grow.

And our teachers are at the heart of it all. They’ve worked alongside our team to think through their teaching styles, their students, and what will make their classrooms work best for them.

This is just the beginning. Over the coming year, we’ll continue bringing this same intentional approach to classrooms across the Middle School, creating spaces that are thoughtfully designed for the learning happening inside them.

We’re so grateful to our teachers and everyone behind the scenes who is helping bring this vision to life. We can’t wait for our students to experience it firsthand! 🤍

Yesterday was our Back to School Bash! 🐻✨ Families had the chance to step into the classroom and see all the learning, growth, and creativity our students have been working on.

The evening wrapped up with a community spaghetti dinner, bringing our Dawson families together over a meal featuring ingredients from our organic garden. 🍝🌱 What a wonderful way to celebrate learning and community! 💙
