Scholar Spotlight: Yadhira Carrillo
Yadhira is a second year Electrical Engineering major graduating in May 2028. She is fascinated by power generation and the role it plays in supporting and strengthening communities.
Her academic journey at UNLV has introduced her to valuable research opportunities that have expanded her perspective on the field. Yadhira hopes to use her knowledge and skills to provide energy solutions and resources to communities in need.

Scholar Spotlight: Jared Torrez
Jared is a second year Applied Health Science major graduating in 2028. He is particularly interested in understanding the outside factors that influence patient health and the patient provider relationship.
His academic journey at UNLV has helped him refine his career goals and strengthened his confidence in his chosen field. Jared hopes to use his passion for science and healthcare to help improve the health and well being of his community.
Summer's in full swing, and so are we! We're planning big things for fall and can't wait to welcome our new and returning Rebels. And for our summer students, keep pushing through your summer courses! Your future self will thank you.

Scholar Spotlight: Anai Rico Lopez
Anai is a third year Pre-CMI student graduating in 2028. She’s passionate about helping and working with people, which continues to inspire her academic journey.
Her experience at UNLV has introduced her to supportive communities connected to her field and encouraged her to become more involved in the community. Through these experiences, Anai has gained confidence and grown more outgoing.
