We want to thank all of those amazing women who assisted us this morning to provide students with a warm welcome! We will all answer the call to help our youth succeed.

Greetings Community Partners,

During the 2021-22 school year, students all over CCSD faced significant academic, social, mental, and emotional issues. These social determinants often led to behavioral challenges where students did not make best choices or students did not feel supported in their current educational environment. This year, we are calling on all of our community partners to rally together to welcome students to Peterson Academic Center on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 8:30am. The Peterson staff is working to create a space where students will arrive on the first day feeling the support and positive encouragement by teachers, staff, and mentors who are prepared to be their academic guide on the road to success.

Far too many young people in our community do not have a positive role model in his/her life, and this is an opportunity to let them know that they are supported by positive men/women in their community.

Please help spread the word and if you have any questions please contact us at [email protected] or (702)799-6610 ext.4303

We are super excited about our newest community partnership. It is our goal for providing yoga to the students. The students will learn coping mechanism, build self-esteem, over come any trauma and feelings of disconnecion within their own body, mind, and more that pertain to us as adults as well. We are so proud of our students and staff for embracing the Yoga experience. Shout-out to our Counselors and Safe School Professionals for their collaboration with our newest Peterson community partner Yoga Haven.
