For many high schoolers, graduation is followed by new decisions about continuing education, career training, or student loans. 🎓

Before borrowing, it’s important to understand loan repayment options, available financial aid resources, and how different choices may affect long-term financial goals. 💡

The Nevada Student Loan Ombudsman is available to help you navigate these conversations and better understand your options before signing for a loan. This free resource can help students and families make more informed decisions as they prepare for what comes next.

Due diligence is an important step in Nevada’s unclaimed property reporting process. 💡

Before property is reported to the state, businesses must make a good faith effort to notify the rightful owner and give them an opportunity to claim what belongs to them.

Certain property types may require certified mail as part of the notification process. Reviewing requirements early can help businesses avoid common reporting mistakes and stay prepared ahead of the October 31 unclaimed property reporting deadline.

Every milestone is a chance to start thinking about what comes next. 🎓

Members of our College Savings Division had the privilege of attending Kindergarten and 5th Grade Promotion Ceremonies at several schools across the valley, including John Tartan Elementary, Daniel F. Goldfarb Elementary, Steve Cozine Elementary, Elaine Wynn Elementary, Dr. Beverly S. Mathis Elementary, and Kermit R. Booker Elementary School.

From moving up to first grade to stepping into middle school, these are the moments that remind us why planning early matters. We were glad to connect with students and families and share how Nevada's college savings programs can help make future education goals more attainable.

Wishing all the students and their families a wonderful summer ahead. 💙

Businesses may be required to register if they:
• Have 6 or more employees
• Have operated for at least 3 years
• Do not currently offer a qualified retirement plan

Employers are encouraged to review program requirements and learn more about the registration process.

What a night at the ballpark! ⚾ In celebration of 529 Day, members of our College Savings Division were at Greater Nevada Field to connect with Nevada families and share information about Nevada's college savings programs. One lucky fan even walked away with a $529 contribution toward a Future Path 529 account.

A big congratulations to Nevada Treasury Administrative Assistant Itzel’s son for throwing out the first pitch of the evening! 🎓

529 Day is a reminder that planning ahead for future education goals can start at any stage. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and to the Reno Aces for having us.
