Aloha! 🤙 Here’s a small Excel habit worth practicing.

In this demo, I type = and Copilot suggests a formula for an order total. Before moving on, I check it: 25 items at $8 each should give me $200.

Then I fill it down and change the quantity to make sure the formula responds correctly.

Let AI help you get started, and take a moment to understand what it gave you.

“Should I select one answer or all that apply?”

You shouldn't have to guess what a quiz is asking you to do. A student's request for clearer instructions gave me a real task to work on with AI.

In this video, you'll see how I asked ChatGPT Astra to help update the instructions in my course.

Want to try something similar? Give clear directions, start with one example, and check the result.

You close the chat. Your AI assistant keeps working. So how does that work? 🤔

That’s what I’m breaking down in this quick guide to ChatGPT Dots.

Swipe through to see what they do, how to get started, and an example you can try.

I’d start with one task you’re tired of keeping up with. Give it clear instructions, then check its work.

What would you hand off first?

Thank you, Deborah. Your feedback helped turn a quiz issue into a learning opportunity. 🌺

After moving my AI for Leaders course, some quizzes needed attention. Deborah noticed, spoke up, and gave me a reason to revisit a task I used to put off: making quizzes!

Here's the story behind our Quiz Bot livestream.

Seeing those quiz files ready was a little victory. 🤙

But before anyone learns from them, I still need to check the questions and answers.

Here's a look at the workflow I shared in our community livestream, from the instructions to the files. Useful AI skills include knowing what to ask for AND what to check afterward.

Here's one sentence worth adding to your next AI request:

"Tell me what you understand before you start."

In this clip, I show how I used that approach with Quiz Bot and a sample spreadsheet format. It's a chance to check that we're working toward the same result before the files get made.
