Hello!

My name is K and I work in Public Health as an Operations Analyst.

I haven’t always been in the public sector and was actually managing a restaurant prior to my current role. I was always on my feet, didn’t exercise much, but consistently accumulated over 10,000 steps each day. Now, I don’t walk as much, or at all really, and I wasn’t getting the same caliber of movement because my job is now sedentary.

I wasn’t feeling good. I wanted a change and I had gone to my husband for help before, but things fizzled out quickly. We talked about getting outside help and knew Drew would be a great asset to beginning our lifestyle change.

One of my biggest takeaways from working with Drew is the confidence I’ve gained. As a direct result of his encouragement, I’ve begun attending weekly yoga classes. I can feel a stronger connection with my body and how I move it. In addition to my yoga, I strength train with Drew once a week. The increased mobility from yoga has helped me improve my strength training form and I’ve noticed a difference in how long I can work out as well as being able to do exercises I couldn’t before.

I would recommend anyone who doesn’t know where to start, maybe feels defeated, or is just looking for outside motivation to keep them accountable. I have so much good to say about Coach Drew and how he’s helped me change my life. You won’t regret incorporating changes to make you 1% better every day.

🐪Happy Humpday fam!!! I hope you’re doing well as you’re halfway through your work week. This week is mental illness awareness week and I want to share a great resource for those dealing with mental illness or known someone who could use support.

📚The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a grassroots organization working to end the stigma around mental health and provides free resources to the community like a hotline for those that need someone to talk to, education with classes on stress management and mental health, and advocating through public policy.

🚶As you know I LOVE movement as a way to help with mental health and this Saturday at Lorenzi Park in Las Vegas NAMI will be doing on of their biggest fundraisers in the form of NAMI Walks. If you are free at 10AM, join us as we walk for mental health for all or if you’d like to donate to the Move with Drew team I will leave a link.

🤝Wherever you are in you mental health journey, I hope you know you are not alone and that there is help out there. So please continue to take care of yourselves and check-in on your friends and loved ones. Enjoy the rest of your week fam!!!
