⚾ A Night at the Ballpark!
CORE scholars traded the classroom for the ballpark for a night of baseball, friends and fun with the Las Vegas Aviators!
Experiences like these give our scholars a chance to connect, make memories and enjoy more of what their community has to offer.
A huge thank you to the Nevada Community Foundation and the for providing the tickets and making this special night possible for our scholars. 💙⚾
We’re grateful for community partners who help create experiences our young people will remember.

🌟 ALL ABOUT ABEL
Meet Abel, one of our 8th-grade scholars!
Abel loves music—he plays both guitar and trumpet—and hopes to become a mechanic someday. His favorite color is red, he loves pepperoni pizza, and he’s already put in a request that pizza make an appearance at programming. 🍕🎸🎺🔧
But what has impressed us most about Abel is the leader he’s becoming.
He regularly helps his peers stay focused and on task, and he has set a goal for himself: to become an even better student, both inside and outside the classroom. Abel wants to push himself to work harder, study more, and bring greater focus to his goals.
That kind of self-motivation is exactly what we love to see in our scholars—and our team will be there to encourage him every step of the way.
We’re excited to watch Abel continue to grow, lead, and build the future he imagines for himself. ⭐

Caring looks good on this crew. 🧡

The CORE team was proud to take part in United Way of Southern Nevada ‘s Day of Caring, joining community volunteers such as Deloitte to assemble hygiene kits for our neighbors in Southern Nevada.
A huge thank you to The LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas for hosting us and to everyone who rolled up their sleeves, packed kits, and helped turn a few hours of service into something meaningful for our community.
This is what community looks like: showing up, pitching in, and caring for one another.

CORE Executive Director Jeff Jones recently joined community and civil rights leaders at the ACLU of Nevada’s award luncheon.

Jeff had the opportunity to connect with renowned criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos, as well as members of the NAACP Executive Board — another great opportunity to strengthen relationships with leaders working to make a difference across our community.

We’re proud to be part of the conversations and connections that help build a stronger, more equitable Southern Nevada.

CORE was proud to join education, nonprofit and community leaders at the North Star Summit 2026, hosted by at .

The summit created space for connection, collaboration and an important conversation about the role of math in student success — exploring policy, data and approaches that are showing results in other states.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to learn from others, strengthen partnerships and bring new ideas back to the work we do with Scholars and families every day.
