A strong school year starts with a strong community behind it. 🎓

CORE was proud to join educators, community leaders and partners at the CCSD Back to School Kickoff as we celebrated the promise and possibilities of a new school year.

We were especially glad to connect with CCSD Board of Trustees Clerk Lydia Dominguez, Trustee Tameka Henry, CCSD Police Chief Jeff Clark and Assistant Principal Jennifer Leifer of Northwest Career & Technical Academy.

Here’s to a great year ahead for CCSD students — and to everyone working together to help them succeed. 🧡

Housing and education may seem like separate issues — but for families, they're deeply connected.

CORE Executive Director Jeff Jones recently joined Nino Galloway of Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada on the Block by Block podcast to talk about affordable housing, community and how those issues intersect with CORE's work supporting Scholars and their families.

We're grateful for opportunities to be part of conversations that look at the whole picture of what families need to thrive.

Sometimes access means opening a door — and sometimes it means opening the gates to Allegiant Stadium. 🏈 A huge thank you to the Las Vegas Raiders for providing 50 tickets for CORE Scholars, their families and our team to experience Raiders practice together.

Experiences like these matter. They give our Scholars and families opportunities to explore spaces, make memories and feel connected to the larger Las Vegas community.
Thank you to Chris Shelton for making sure the CORE community was included in such an incredible night out.

A huge thank you to the Las Vegas Aces for scoring a back-to-school three-pointer for our CORE Scholars! 🏀💜

The Aces donated three boxes packed with backpacks, spiral notebooks, tissues, and two HUGE rolls of Band-Aids — helping our Scholars start the school year ready for whatever comes their way.
