We offer three levels of music theory to help students of all instruments/vocal to fully understand the written musical language. We are one of the few music programs in town with such a comprehensive music theory program for young students!

Meet our teaching assistants for Fall 2026!

Suzie Post (Choir Accompanist) is a Las Vegas native, raised in a musical family. Her father has directed choirs her entire life, giving her many opportunities to play and sing. She has been playing piano for church and community choirs and congregations for 15 years. Mother to four children, she is excited to help support the musical efforts in her community as a member of the SNHPA team.

Bervin Oats (Guitar) is a graduate of the SNHPA music program, where he plays in the Advanced Guitar Ensemble and is a Bass Guitar player for Jazz Band. While working on his college studies, he assists our guitar instructor in the larger beginning guitar classes.

Lorelei Lakey (Strings) has been involved with SNHPA since 2016. As a student, she participated in Advanced Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Strings, the Advanced Guitar Ensemble, and Ballroom Dance. After graduating high school she joined the teaching staff. She is currently attending UNLV for music education, and is excited to be working with the string students again this year.

Blade Baillio (Percussion) is an 11 year veteran of Southern Nevada Homeschool Performing Arts where he’s played for Jazz & Concert Bands and Advanced Symphony Orchestra. He played for Bishop Gorman Drumline & Pep Band from 2024-2026 and played percussion and narrated for Zion’s Youth Symphony Orchestra from 2021-2026. He recently graduated from a Latter-day Saint Seminary 4- year education. Born & raised in Las Vegas, he looks forward to continuing his education in Music Composition & Computer Science.
