Update for the business:
- The LLC is filed, and the business is licensed at the state level.
- During the application process with the Clark County Sheriff, it was identified that I will need to obtain business licenses for the local jurisdictions individually (Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City). As of right now, I am not allowed to conduct business until I obtain these individual licenses.
- It was also identified that the company I filed my LLC with did not register my business with the NV State Tax Department, just the IRS. The NV State Tax Department requires that I pay a tax security deposit of $1,500 before I can register my business and receive a NV Tax ID.
- I cannot obtain the individual business licenses until I have a NV Tax ID.
- I was not aware of the need for a tax security deposit, and the additional business licensing fees when I initially started this endeavor.
