Black excellence. Rebel legacy. A story worth seeing.

Join us for HUZ: Drawn to Life, a new film celebrating the life and career of Ron Husband (UNLV Art ’73), Disney’s first Black animator.

From UNLV to Walt Disney Animation Studios, Husband broke barriers and contributed his artistry to beloved classics including The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. His journey is a story of perseverance, faith, mentorship, and artistic excellence—and this is our opportunity to celebrate the legacy of a fellow Rebel.

Thursday, October 1
Reception | 6–7 PM
Screening | 7–8 PM
Q&A with Ron Husband & Director Don Hahn | 8–8:45 PM

Come celebrate Black excellence, artistic achievement, and Rebel legacy with us.
