Welcome to the official page of the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Nevada Las Vegas

The Division of Student Affairs is organized into three units to better serve students and the campus community. In addition to these units, the vice president has an office staff as well as a council and leadership team that provides input, leadership, and direction to the division.

Who’s winning the UNLV campus commute race?

We put three different campus commutes to the test: walking, scootering and driving. From one side of campus to the other, which one gets you there the fastest?

There are plenty of ways to get around campus, but some are definitely faster than others.

Would you rather?

Some choices are easy. Others? Not so much. We stopped UNLV students on campus to answer a few "Would You Rather" questions, and their responses are debatable.

Watch the video, then let us know in the comments: Which answers would you choose?

📍SU Upgrade!

The Student Union has new furniture, giving you even more comfortable spaces to relax, study, catch up with friends, or recharge between classes. Next time you're grabbing a bite from the food court, take a seat and check it out.

Parking permits for the 2026–2027 academic year will be available beginning Monday, August 3, 2026.

Students may purchase their permit online through the UNLV Parking Portal by selecting “Order Permit” and following the purchase instructions. We encourage students to secure their permit before the start of the semester to avoid delays and ensure they are prepared for the first day of classes.

Purchase your permit here: UNLV Parking Portal

UNLV uses License Plate Recognition (LPR), which means your vehicle's license plate serves as your parking permit. No physical permit needs to be displayed.

For questions regarding reserved or residential permits, please contact [email protected]. Visit https://www.unlv.edu/parking for more information.

Congratulations to UNLV Collegiate 100 on earning Third Place nationally in the Collegiate 100 Workforce Development Challenge!

Competing against Collegiate 100 chapters from across the country, students Skylah Jackson-Buford, Guylan Belser, and Ryan Staples developed the award-winning project, "Future Workforce Readiness Playbook: Economic Resilience in the Age of AI – Preparing Black Students to Lead the Next Workforce Era."

Their innovative workforce development strategy explores how mentorship, AI literacy, industry partnerships, entrepreneurship, and career readiness can help prepare Black students to lead in an evolving workforce.

Again, congratulations to these outstanding students and their advisor, Dr. Kenneth A. Cottrell, on this well-deserved national recognition.

We asked students: What's your favorite part about being at UNLV?

The answers were as diverse as our campus! Coffee spots to fuel the day, events that bring the community together, free food and giveaways, meeting new people, and yes... even taking a moment to play with a desktop Zen garden.

We love that UNLV offers opportunities to connect, have fun, and even find a little peace of mind.
