Twenty five years ago, I was asking my friends "does anyone know a job where I can use my love of language and tech together?" That started me on my path of International Quality Engineering, starting first in Localization (French, then German), then Internationalization (first West Europe, then Eastern Europe, then the Middle East, and on to India and Southeast Asia), and finally Culturalization and teaching. As part of that, I got a third bachelors in German, learned basic Russian, and got a masters in Applied Anthropology with a focus on Middle Eastern Studies while learning Arabic and documenting Adobe's efforts to bring Photoshop to the MENA region. Along the way, my love for teaching spilled out, first as a volunteer with Photoshop and Teach the Teacher, followed by two CISV villages and an interchange, a stint as a host dad for a French student, and finally teaching first Inclusive Design and then Software Localization, JavaScript, C #, and more.

I joined Swapidea because I love sharing the knowledge I have with younger generations. I discovered my passion for music after watching Usher’s MasterClass. His words ignited the fire for me to take my dream of performing into a reality. I want to do anything I can to help push students to chase their dreams and Swapidea offers the platform to connect with younger knowledge seekers.

Lisa is a lead at a Pharmaceutical company with experience in clinical monitoring, project elad and clinical research management. She has worked for medical device, Clinical Research Organizations (CRO) and pharmaceutical companies. Lisa has experience hiring, interviewing and managing partnership programs between the CRO and pharmaceutical companies.

I joined Swapidea as a coach because I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I currently work in the Healthcare industry as an X-ray and CT Technologist with over 15 years of experience. I also am fluent in Spanish and would be glad to help anyone that is interested in gaining speaking and listening skills. Looking forward to working with you.

I joined Swapidea because I know what it’s like to be one of those people who took a while to find the right career path. After having spent many years building a successful career in tech, I pivoted my career and followed my passion into writing. For college kids who are trying to figure out their own career paths, or for working professionals who are looking to pivot their careers, I have been there and would love to share insights and guidance that might help them along on their journeys.

Nolan Phan: joined Swapidea to connect with peers and learn more about possible careers would be interested in. With many of my courses moving online, it has been increasingly difficult to meet with my classmates, but Swapidea lets me connect with peers in my school and across the nation that otherwise wouldn't have been able to meet. As a junior, I've been exploring different possible careers for post-graduation. Swapidea's industry coaches have let me explore a variety of different careers and learn from high-level professionals with first-hand experience.
