⚠️ Be Careful About the Information You Consume Online
In the world of fi****ms training, not everything you see on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram represents correct, safe, or responsible instruction.
A certified instructor understands something very important: there is an ethical boundary between what can be taught, what applies to each type of student, and the proper context for every type of training.
Within fi****ms training, there are three major areas: civilian, military, and law enforcement. Each one has different objectives, responsibilities, standards, and training environments.
An instructor who shares content designed for military or law enforcement environments must understand that this material is not automatically intended for the average civilian. Presenting advanced concepts outside of their proper context can create unnecessary risks and liability for both the instructor and the student.
Many times, students arrive to our classes with information they learned online. When we ask, “Where did you learn that?” the answer is often:
“I saw an instructor on social media.”
The challenge is that we then have to correct misinformation using reliable sources, structured training programs, and recognized educational materials from organizations such as NRA, USCCA, and other reputable training organizations.
Popularity does not always equal knowledge. Having thousands of followers does not automatically make someone a qualified instructor.
Before you learn:
✅ Research who is teaching you.
✅ Verify their certifications and experience.
✅ Make sure the information applies to your situation.
✅ Learn from responsible and credible sources.
At Defensa USA, we believe fi****ms education is not about creating viral content. It is about building responsible, safe, and prepared individuals.
Your safety also depends on the quality of the information you receive.
⚠️ Be careful. You may be learning from the wrong source.
