What does it really mean to honor the craft of an educator? π
In this weeks Discovery conversation, Dr. Cheyenne explores how Social Emotional Development can bring greater awareness to the skill, care, intention, and humanity behind teaching.
Teaching is more than delivering content. Itβs about understanding people, building connection, creating belonging, and supporting meaningful growth.
Sometimes, honoring educators starts with simply recognizing the depth of what they do.

What if the way we give feedback is keeping people focused on the past?
Traditional feedback often tells people what happened or what they could have done differently. While reflection is important, it doesn't always help people discover what comes next.
That's where feedforward creates a mindset shift.
Instead of asking,
"What went wrong?"
We begin asking,
"Knowing what you've learned, what's your next step?"
That one shift changes the conversation from evaluation to development.
When people feel trusted to think, reflect, and contribute their own ideas, we create more than growth we create safety, belonging, and ownership.
Because our role isn't simply to correct behaviour.
It's to develop people.
π We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
Feedforward creates more than better performance.
It creates conversations where people feel safe to think, reflect, and grow.
And when people begin feel safe, they begin to take ownership, contribute more openly, and develop with confidence.
How are you using feedforward to create safety and belonging in your team, classroom, or home?
What if creating a culture of safety and belonging doesn't begin with our students... but with us?
Every question we ask.
Every conversation we have.
Every response to a mistake.
They all shape the mindset of the people in front of us.
