Our Story -

It all began in the heart of a little orphan boy. Having lost both his Mom and Dad during the Korean War, the late Pastor Jong Ki Kim developed a heart for hurting children from very early on in his life.

In October of 1979, he established the Full Gospel Las Vegas Church with just a handful of people. From the very beginning, his ministry was focused on the children of Las Vegas valley. He picked them up in church vans going all over town—north, south, east, and west. God had given Pastor Kim a dream of building a school for these children; a school where hurting kids would find mentors and a loving family of God’s people. A school where ordinary kids would be inspired to help others and to change the world—just as Pastor Kim was inspired to do so by his teachers when he was just a little orphan boy back in Korea.

Our Cause -

There are hurting children in every city, but more so here in Las Vegas, a city known by many as “Sin City.” It’s always the children that suffer the most. They have no power. They have no voice. They are always at the mercy of what the adults choose to do. The state of Nevada is consistently ranked near the bottom of the chart when it comes to education (among fifty states in US). The God-given dream is to provide a top quality education for these children so that they will be equipped to compete at any level anywhere in the world. It is to build a school that will inspire and educate the children of “Sin City” to be brave enough to challenge the status quo and to change our city and the world.

Our Plan -

God took Pastor Kim home in November of 2005, and he never got to see his God-given dream come true. But all that is about to change as we’re nearing the completion of Phase 1 of the School Project!

In 2010, God supernaturally gave our church 20 acres of land on the Southwest side of Las Vegas for the building of this school—the school. And, in 2018, after a long wait, we finally obtained a building permit for the Phase 1 of this school. If all goes as planned, the first building (45,000 sq. ft.) which will house an auditorium, a gymnasium and classrooms for the Pre-School will be completed by the end of 2022! The cost of completing the first building is estimated at $13-14 million. (Phase 2 will be the building of the second building which will house classrooms for the Elementary School. And Phase 3 will be the building of the third building which will house classrooms for the Middle School and High School. Each phase is separated by a period of three to five years.)

You can be a part of it! Join us in praying for this school project. Furthermore, join us with your finances. Any amount will do. God used the two small fish and five small loaves of a little boy to feed the five thousand! How good and awesome is our God!
