It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the passing of Camille Duskin. She unexpectedly passed yesterday after after having a medical procedure.

She once said, “Don’t send me flowers when I’m gone, send me flowers now.” And that is how she lived her life. Enjoying the moment and supporting others...even at her own cost.

She gave special angel pins to those who supported her charity, The Gateway Arts Foundation. She called those Gateway supporters, “Angels of the arts.” What we didn’t realize, we were being given an angel just by having that amazing, selfless woman in our lives. Music. Art. Dance. The arts were her passion and she wanted to give back. She succeeded. Not only with her love and charity, but by being in our lives and reminding us that there ARE good people out there in the world. She raised the bar.

Please allow her husband, Jerry Duskin, the space and time he needs to grasp his loss.

Unfortunately all events at the Starbright Theatre are cancelled through April due precautions regarding the unfortunate Coronavirus.

We can all look forward to Lillian Channelle's concert (that was scheduled for April 5th) later this year and will keep everyone up to date with future announcements.
