This week, the PMI Paramedic Program students got to go ‘behind the scenes’ to learn about the paramedic’s role in EMS Operations - and how it fits into technical rescue operations.
Huge thanks to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Station 44’s Technical Rescue team and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Training Center for putting together this stellar demonstration!
When it comes to EMS Operations, the entry-level paramedic is expected to have foundational knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities to ensure the safety of patients, the public, and personnel alike.
The paramedic must have a fundamental understanding of the principles of Crew Resource Management, and be able to both establish and work within the incident management system.
