Hi, I'm Maria! I’m interested in working in pediatrics and women’s health. I want to do OTA because it’s the best way to make a difference in peoples lives. When people are at their most in need, I will get the privilege to be there for them.

Hi, I'm Sofia, and I'm interested in working as an OTA in any setting, but if I had to choose one now, I'd try pediatric clinics first! I chose occupational therapy because there are unlimited paths to create rewarding results for both me and my future clients.

Hello, I'm Kristal! I'm currently interested in working in inpatient rehab or in home health! I chose occupational therapy because I get to help people get back to doing the things that they love and find meaningful!

We had a great time hitting home runs with our buddies at Miracle League today! ⚾️

08/19/2022 ~ Volunteer opportunity #3 was at Three Square for their Kid’s Cafe Kitchen! ✔️

The Kid’s Cafe Kitchen is a way to ensure students in after-school programs have nutritious and fulfilling meals. With that being said, 800 meals were packed this morning AND 2000+ meal preparations are set out for the children of the Las Vegas community! Thank you to 3 Square for having our students over! 🥕🥗🥪

08/01/2022-08/12/2022 ~ FIELDWORK I 📸

Cohort 9’s Level I Fieldwork is now complete! These past 2 weeks have been a great experience for everyone to learn how to communicate with patients, see different interventions, follow several safety precautions, and build interprofessional teams! Overall, we would like to thank our Clinical Director, Ms. Abi, for giving us these experiences! 💙

Cohort 9 went over to The Speech House & OT Please! to make P.E.C. books for the pediatric setting! The Picture Exchange Communication (PEC) is a way to communicate through the use of pictures and symbols to build expressive communication skills. What’s really nice here is the interprofessional collaboration of Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy ✨ remember to always work as a TEAM with all healthcare professions! A big thank you to Maria, the SLP , for letting us learn and create! 💭🎭🎨🖌📸

We help set up the Haunted Houses for Opportunity Village’s July Summer of Screams.
