SAVVY….. As the name defines..

“ Avinash, was very friendly, who always stopped by to exchange warm greetings and had genuine
caring side.”
-Rashmi Kudikala
"It was always so much fun when he is around. He is one of those few people who loves helping others, I
never saw the smile that he had on his face going off for a second also. He always used to tell me
that don& #39;t carry worries around, just be happy, don& #39;t worry about GPA, courses etc you will do better. I
still can& #39;t believe the fact that he left this world and will not be with us anymore. He was such an energy
booster for all of us, for sure we will miss you SAVVY, we will always remember you for the friend you
were"
REST IN PIECE SAVVY :-( :-(
-Divya Challa.
savvy, he is a very jovial and a good friend. In all the people I saw he is the only one who can come into
any of our places n grab something make some fun and just go like tht. He lived life in his own terms and
I just can’t believe he is no more. He was there with me when i did the craziest thing in my life.... he want
me to book a ticket for him for my graduation n I can do that now but he is not here to come n he went
to such long that he don’t need a ticket anymore. Anyways savvy will miss u for life time man.... stay
happy wherever you are and I know u will be with us FOREVER N EVER..... miss u my frnd.....!! Have a
wonderful journey up there....!!
-Divya Gaddam
You are like my big brother. I always cherished the moments when I was with you. Rest in peace brother.
-Charan Kumar Yellanki
It& #39;s very unfortunate to see your life ending this way brother, extremely sad about it. Will miss you. REST
IN PEACE. May god give strength and courage to your family...!!!
-Vamshi
It is still unbelievable to all of us that the fact that savvy is no more.... He was the most coolest,
happiest and talented person I have ever seen in my life. He was friendly to everyone he met and he
used to say that "Be friendly with me". He was a most fearless person but I can& #39;t imagine how much
trouble and fear he faced when that terrible situation happened. I wish god will give so much of strength
to his family. We all miss you and will remember you for our lifetime savvy.
"We All Loved Him but God Loved Him More".
Rest In Peace savvy.
-Lakshmi Prasanna Gurrala
Hey Avinash, I will remember my 1st dance performance ever in my life, I will remember the 1st time I
drove a 15 seater car, I will remember my 1st trip in my masters with a big group and loads of fun I had, I
will remember the fun I had in the crazy drives in the night, I will remember my 1st after party fun and I
will remember you as a creator of these memories for me. Thank you so much for all these memories!
you have been there whenever I needed help, you chose to help me several time when everyone is busy
enjoying and partying. such a pure soul you are, Thank you for all the help! I am always said that every
life has a purpose and yours might be to make everyone learn how to LIVE the LIFE with a smile.
I wish you are with us for long time to spread more love. Good bye nature lover" --Manogna

This is what I recollected when someone asked me to say few words about Avinash (a short story): This
happened probably two years ago, I was on phone discussing about a serious issue happening with one
of my close family members. I was debating and arguing in the process of finding a solution to the issue.
Avinash was in the room next to me and has figured out that something is not good, he walked up to me
after the call and & #39;Not& #39; to my surprise, asked me
"Can I be helpful in anyway to solve the problem"! Such a helping hand he was, he is bothered about
helping someone whom he doesn& #39;t even know!!
& #39;Earth needs more people like you my friend& #39;.
-Mahender Manda
My attachment to Avinash is mostly through cricket. He is the one who used to do initiation for playing
cricket every week. We used to have lots of fun on the field. He used to give me advises while playing
cricket, which helped me in improving my game. I miss him in the cricket ground now. He is a great
player.
I feel that avinash is a complete human being who does what he loves to do. I miss you a lot
avinash.
- Manikanta Ponnam
Avinash was an amazing person with a beautiful smile. He was very kind hearted and nature lover. I
would like to share a memory of him. One night Avinash, me and couple of other friends went to aggie
mountains on a car and stopped at a place where there were no people around. There was a fire little
distance away. All four of us were standing on top of the car and screaming. It was a beautiful memory
with an amazing feeling. It felt like we were on top of everything. Avinash showed us that spot. He is also
very helpful. Miss you buddy....
-Arun Bijjala
"Let& #39;s have beer together!!" You used to ask me always. You will always be among us in some way or the
other. Cheers to a beautiful soul.
-Bhumika Parikh
"I will always remember the driving lessons you gave me at the Skeen Hall parking lot and the
conversations we had at that time. I will cherish the gift you gave me during the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations
at Singletree. I had many interactions with you, that have now become memories which make it hard to
believe that you are not between us. But I am sure you are in a better place. Miss you Avinash."
-Razia
Like for most of my NMSU colleges, Avinash is my first house mate in US. He actually helped me finding
the house when I first came to US. He was the most cheering, enthusiastic and visionary person I have
ever seen. He had immense entrepreneurial goals which he was covering one after one.
Its a great loss for the whole NMSU community. Rest in Peace bro..!
-Jame Alexander
Avinash…though we studied in the same school since childhood, I knew him only after I came here. He
hardly takes 10secs to make you a friend and so he did with me. Though we had known each other for a
short while, he left memories forever. He randomly comes to you and asks for anything as your family
member does. He is one of the fun persons I met on campus.
Miss you my friend! Rest in peace!
-Anusha.

"A nature lover, a good friend with honest heart, helpful, caring and
many more that I can keep going. You will be always be remembered.
Rest in peace brother, may you fly higher than you ever have."
From our memorable trip to New York for 2016 New Year.
-Ravi Shah

Wonderful person, Visionary and a Great soul!! His outlook on life was
just amazing...
Savvy loved his life and nature& #39;s beauty. He used to say "Enjoy them
while they last”...I strongly believe that, as long as nature breathes,
Avinash lives.
Miss you my dear friend!!!
-Yeshwanth

It was a short time this world had him but he had that energy that
created happiness everywhere. I can’t think of a better individual who
reverberated India at NMSU as best he could. Heaven is blessed by
taking away your soul from this world. All I can say keep rocking
wherever you are. Rest In Peace.
-Gaurav
Avinash was a very jovial person, always smiling and wanting to make ppl around him also feel happy.
He was a nice mix of the unconventional goals and yet simple things made him happy.
He was the person who drove me to Las Cruces from El Paso when I first arrived to NMSU, when he was
very quite... that will always remain etched in my memory I remember him as an ambitious yet simple
person a nice friend and a good human.
RIP and keep smiling as always Avinash, wherever you are.
-Rashmi Joshi

Avinash (Savvy meaning “he knows”)..True, he knows how to live life to the fullest. A simple guy who
always is in the moment cherishing every bit of it. He always used to say, an I quote “Its not death I am
afraid of, its getting to end of life only to realize I never truly lived.” He always lived in his own terms. We
are grateful to have such a wonderful friend around us.
One day your life is gonna flash before your eyes, I am sure it was worth watching for him. A true wander
lust, hard to believe his last breath was taken away by the nature. If there is one thing he wants us to
remember, it would be to live in the moment and spread love.
-Sachin
About 5 years ago on NMSU campus, I met Avi - such a dynamic, full of life young man. No matter
what he was going through, he never let his beautiful smile down. He is smart, hardworking techie with
high values and big dreams. He always believed that money is not eternal, but love is. He never let

anyone down those who came to seek his help. We will miss you, Savvy - You are a true friend, a brother,
dancer, nature lover.

A series of happy events turned into the most unfortunate one for Avinash and all his well wishers. Avinash along with his friends(we) went to Lake Hopatcong, NJ on Saturday(6/1) to celebrate his birthday.

We have rented a pontoon boat and went into the lake. During the activity, Avinash got into the water and within no time started saying something is pulling him down and screamed for help. He started flailing and was gasping for air. We tried to help with the life vest but unfortunately he couldn't reach to it. Understanding that the situation is getting worse, one of our friends jumped into the water with a life vest but we had to pull him out since his vest came off too. Avinash started to drown in water. Everything happened so quickly and all of us were terrified. Not knowing how to react, we called Bridge Marina and 911 for help.

The help team entered and started the search on Saturday morning. Unfortunately due a lot of w**d in the lake and bad weather conditions, search was unsuccessful on Saturday and Sunday and is still in the process. We are all praying for some miracle to happen and get him back. Based on the current situation, unfortunately we have to say there are extremely less chances of getting back alive. In case of unfortunate event of not seeing him alive, we are planning to send the body back to India for his family and well-wishers to see him for one last time and to perform last rituals.

Avinash is one of the very few people being loved by all his associates for his plain hearted nature and willingness to help others. He always cared for well-being of fellow people and the society. He had high ambitions in life, to become an entrepreneur, give back to the society, travel places around the globe etc. He has started working recently and began to support his family members who have restlessly worked for Avinash's successful career. All dreams are now shattered with one tragic event. Knowing about this incident, his mother has been hospitalized in India. In this need of the hour, we kindly request your prayers for him and his family.

We are initiating a fundraiser so that we can get the process going, support his family in this time of need and despair. This is the least we can do for such an amazing person...!!!
