With auditions coming up we’d like to share a few words from 3rd year Sundancer Sofia!

Becoming a Sundancer has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience. It has given me some of my favorite memories and friendships that I know will stay with me forever. Whether it’s stepping onto the field at football games or performing on the court at basketball games, there’s a powerful sense of pride and belonging that comes with representing NMSU. My team and coach have pushed me in ways I didn’t expect, taught me discipline, resilience, and that hard work truly pays off. But more than anything, this team has given me a group of people who became more than just teammates. The moments we’ve shared, both on and off the floor, are ones I’ll always hold close. 🫶🏽

If you’re even thinking about trying out, take the chance. It could end up being one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of your college career. Good luck!
