The Graduate Student Council is GSC is comprised of representatives from all Graduate Student Organization's (GSO) on campus. Each GSO provides a representative who serves as a voting member of GSC. However, all graduate students are welcome and highly encouraged to participate in meetings. GSC facilitates communication between University Administration, the Graduate School, ASNMSU, and the studen

ts. We provide funding opportunities for traveling to conferences, and we also host several events during the year. In the spring, we host GRAS, the Graduate Research and Arts Symposium, which provides students and opportunity to share their work with the NMSU population. The GSC meets bi-monthly to discuss funding and other concerns for the graduate students.

Please fill out the survey if you care about tuition waivers and health insurance coverage!
This survey is being circulated among the various graduate student organizations in order to submit a “formal proposal to demand that tuition be covered and our health insurance to be partially subsidized by the university”. It asks various information about your personal bills and how that compares to your graduate compensation. Most universities waive tuition if you are a GA, so we should too! The more that fill this out, the more powerful it will be.

PFLAG announces an amazing, FREE event that will be taking place on campus. The event will be a showing of “Raising Zoey”, a documentary about a transgender teen on a journey to find her voice—as a daughter, sister, student, and activities. Indian festival of lights will be celebrated on 11/17/2018, 5.00PM on-wards at the auditorium, Corbett Center Student Union, Second Floor. There are cultural programs (Dance and fashion show) followed with Indian buffet dinner which would be free. This event also includes fireworks. Join the event and make it a great success.
