We are Cruces Mask Bloc a local grassroots organization just getting started. We are fundraising to provide free masks, tests, and hand sanitizers to Las Cruces and the surrounding communities. We are also working on providing free educational social media content. We’re just concerned community members trying to love our community.

Considering that the pandemic is still going on, we believe that it’s absolutely vital to continue masking and speak up about Covid.

Covid is a terrifying, disabling disease and we haven’t been given -any- of the facts as we should’ve been. It’s like the AIDS epidemic all over again. Mutual aid and community care will always be necessary as long as we live under a capitalist regime that doesn’t allow everyone the basic necessities of life.

We strongly reject the CDC’s murderous decision to lower the required isolation period. We believe PPE and testing should be free and accessible for everyone. We believe Long Covid is real, and those suffering with it deserve to be heard. We hold space to mourn the millions who lost their lives to this nasty cardiovascular disease. The pandemic is still happening. We need to keep talking about it and we need to take care of each other because we’re all we got.
