Kolby Gonzales is making his UFC debut tonight. This young man started his training at our academy when he was only four years old and it was evident to everyone that he was special. Whether he was competing in the wall-sit contest at summer camp or the next gold medal on a big stage, winning was his only option. No matter the pain, no matter the tears he pushed through and persevered. ļæ¼He showed mental toughness beyond his years. ļæ¼ļæ¼With unwavering dedication to his training, his immense natural talent, and the support of his amazing family he has been able to reach his goal of the UFC at the early age of 16. He is already a very decorated athlete having competed and trained all around the world, and I believe this is still truly just the beginning!!ļæ¼ ļæ¼
I'm very proud to have had the privilege and opportunity to be his first Professor and primary coach for many years. His foundation ļæ¼is strong, his style unique and heart unmeasurable.
His match will be streamed live on YouTube and the rest of the card will be on the UFC fight pass. ļæ¼Tune in for an amazing display of skill and speed!! You will not be disappointed. And don't blink he is known for his lightning fast finishes.
We are so proud of you, Kolby and thankful that you have been blessed with this talent and we are part of your story. We are cheering you on from Three Crosses Jiu Jitsu (formerly Gracie Barra Las Cruces).
Wishing you the best always,
Professor Angela Benitez ļæ¼
