Can’t even begin to tell everyone how proud we are of these incredible young ladies! They accepted the challenge to compete in their first ever ballet Folklorico competition, Raices del Desierto, in San Elizario (El Paso) TX and brought home:

1st Place Solo (Aaliyah Rodriguez)
2nd Place Duet (Iza Valles & Jazmariah Gadson).

Thank you to the host Miss Rebecca Vargas of San Elizario HS, our wonderful ballet Folklorico teacher Miss Adriana and our competition coach Mr Oscar Burciaga. We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s hard work and commitment.

Due to overnight and early morning freezing temperatures and hazardous driving conditions, La Academia Dolores Huerta will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 27, in order to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Under the two-hour delay:
• Classes will begin at 11am and you may begin drop off at 10:30am. Breakfast will still be served.

Debido a temperaturas congelantes esta noche y temprano mañana, y a las peligrosas condiciones para conducir.
La Academia Dolores Huerta tendrá un retraso de 2 horas el martes, 27 de enero para asegurar la seguridad de nuestros alumos y empleados. Bajo este retraso de 2 horas:
• Las clases comenzaran a las 11am y podrán comenzar a dejar a estudiantes a las 10:30am. Aun se proveerá el desayuno.
