🟠 Orange because I will continue to fight for common sense gun laws until we see change.
🟠 Orange because we are the only country where this issue is off the freaking charts.
🟠 Orange because there have been 27 school shootings in 2022 alone.

Let's talk about homework in kindergarten 👇

When I was in the classroom, we had to send out homework (insert eye roll here). It happened to be practice based off of what we were learning in the classroom at the time. As you know, in kinder we tend to revisit and build upon standards as the year went on.

For me, the homework became repetitive which was great for the kids but hard for me when it came to assigning. That was one of those "there has to be a better way" types of moments. In terms of working smarter & not harder, I put together a take-home-folder.

It was the perfect place for parents to see what was happening in the classroom (because I also put in our newsletters!) and it had a bunch of important standards that needed to be mastered. It definitely made practicing and homework a lot easier!

So tell me, do you have to give out homework at your school? What does it consist of?
