Grant Opportunities Now Open through Your CFSNM! 🌈

We are proud to announce that grant cycles are now open for two impactful LGBTQIA+ funding opportunities!

✨ The LGBTQIA+ Grant
Provided by the Charles T. Townley and Victor T. Roberts LGBTQIA+ Fund, this grant supports local LGBTQIA+ groups in Doña Ana, Hidalgo, Lincoln, Luna, Otero, and Sierra counties.

Focus Areas Include:
Programs rooted in social support and community research

Initiatives in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, including but not limited to:
Human rights, public health, s*x education, art, theater, music, and literature

Funding Range: Minimum grant of $500 and maximum of $2,000
Priority: Given to programs addressing critical needs within the LGBTQIA+ community

All grantees must recognize the support of the Charles T. Townley and Victor T. Roberts LGBTQIA+ Fund in public-facing materials.

✨ The Rainbow Fund
Held within the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, this fund awards grants to LGBTQIA+ nonprofit organizations in Southern New Mexico that are focused on supporting, uplifting, and serving q***r individuals and families.

Funds may be used for:
Direct programming that strengthens community services
Assistance to individuals and families in need within q***r communities

Led by the CFSNM Rainbow Committee, this fund is committed to fostering collaboration, awareness, and lasting impact across LGBTQIA+ groups in our region.

Be Part of a Growing Team!

This exciting new endeavor arises from our mission at the DACC Workforce & Community Engagement (WCE) Division to serve as a gateway to economic mobility for new majority learners. New majority learners include people of color, individuals with disabilities, low-income, first-generation, veterans, ESL learners, immigrants and migrants, parents, LGBTQ+ people, formerly incarcerated, and/ or those who do not have a high school diploma (Education Design Lab, 2022). Our programs can help people who are stuck or powerless imagine a new version of themselves as a business owner, an active member of the community with the ability to impact others, someone who can earn a sustainable income, or develop a meaningful career. In service to new majority learners, the VISTA member will work as part of a team to assist with streamlining procedures; researching, developing, and compiling resources; facilitating intradepartmental collaboration and resource-sharing; and developing a pool of work readiness and life skills instructors.
