This weekend, Dominic stepped onto one of the biggest stages in youth judo at the USA Judo Junior Olympics and represented Legacy MMA with courage, determination, and heart.

Dominic finished the day 1-2, but that record tells only a small part of the story.

He faced some of the best competitors in the nation, many of whom held higher ranks and had significantly more experience. Despite that, Dominic never backed down. He fought hard, stayed composed, executed his techniques, and proved that he belongs on the national stage.

The value of tournaments like this isn't found solely in medals. It's found in the lessons learned, the experience gained, and the confidence built by testing yourself against elite competition. Every match against high-level opponents accelerates growth in ways that ordinary training simply cannot.

Today, Dominic gained something far more important than a win-loss record: experience, resilience, and a clearer understanding of what it takes to compete among the nation's best.

As coaches, we couldn't be prouder. It takes courage to leave your comfort zone, travel across the country, and put your skills to the test. Dominic did exactly that, and he represented our dojo, his family, and himself with honor.

The journey continues, and this experience will make him stronger.

Congratulations, Dominic. The scoreboard may show three matches, but we see a young athlete who grew tremendously today.

Congratulations to Our National Competitors!

We are proud to recognize four members of the Legacy MMA Judo Team who stepped onto the national stage and represented our dojo at the 2026 USA Judo Senior National Championships.

Competing at the national level takes courage, dedication, and countless hours of training. Win or lose, it takes a special kind of person to test themselves against some of the best athletes in the country.

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.

Out of respect for Memorial Day, Legacy Mixed Martial Arts will be closed today. Classes will resume on our normal schedule tomorrow.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day with family and loved ones.
