Today, we’re celebrating 4 incredible years of Fran at AIB! ✨💆‍♀️If you’ve had the opportunity to learn from Fran, you know there’s something special about the way she teaches. She brings a calm, encouraging presence to the classroom, a wealth of skin care knowledge, and a genuine investment in seeing each of her future professionals grow and succeed.

Over the last four years, Fran has helped shape so many aspiring advanced esthetics professionals; not only by teaching them the techniques and knowledge they’ll need in their careers, but by encouraging them to trust themselves, build their confidence, ask questions, and continue pushing toward their potential🎓️

The best educators leave an impact that reaches far beyond the classroom, and Fran has certainly done that. Every future professional she has encouraged, every skill she has helped strengthen, and every bit of knowledge she has shared has become a small part of the careers they’re building❤️

Ashley said new cut… might as well get a new color to match🔥 This transformation came together in TWO parts, and we caught the whole journey from start to finish!

It all started when AIB Cosmetology future professional Ashley (Ashley) modeled for Rolando Aqui’s live haircut demo during his visit to our Bradenton campus, where he kicked off her new look with a fresh short cut✂️

But why stop there? 👀 With the cut complete, Ashley was ready to switch things up even more taking her natural hair color to a rich, dark auburn❤️‍🔥 Fellow Cosmetology future professional Kayla D. (kayla_klips) brought the color to life, with Ms. E lending her expertise throughout the service!

And that final reveal?! The cut + the color came together SO GOOD👏

A huge thank you to Rolando again for sharing his talent and education with our future professionals, Kayla D., for bringing Ashley’s color vision to life, and Ms. E for providing her guidance and supervision throughout the color process🎨

Full-circle moments are our favorite!🔁 AIB Cosmetology graduate Cheyenne Leigh returned to AIB, this time as a guest speaker✨ Now a stylist at White Sand Salon, Cheyenne came back to pour into the next generation of beauty professionals by sharing her personal journey in the industry, the lessons she’s learned along the way, and some real-world insight into life behind the chair.

From navigating commission vs. booth rent to networking, continued education, and finding the right salon environment to grow in, Cheyenne gave our future professionals plenty to take with them as they prepare for their own careers✂️👏

We’re so grateful to have graduates like Cheyenne who are excited to give back and show our future professionals just how far their AIB education, skills & passion can take them❤️

Sometimes the path to your dream isn’t a straight line, and Cheyenne Leigh’s () story is proof that where you start doesn’t have to determine where you end👣💭

We recently welcomed Cheyenne from White Sand Salon () to share an incredibly open and inspiring conversation with our future professionals about her journey into the beauty industry.

Cheyenne spoke candidly about experiencing hardships, working jobs that never felt like the right fit, and even dropping out of beauty school twice when she was younger. But a few important people in her life saw something in her before she fully saw it in herself. Their belief helped push her back toward a dream she always knew was hers to chase—and this time, she returned to beauty school, finished what she started, and has built a career she’s proud of✂️✨

She also gave our students a real-world look at what comes *after* graduation, breaking down the differences between working in a commission salon and booth renting, the importance of networking (which ultimately helped her land her position at White Sand Salon!), and what new professionals should look for when choosing their first salon home.

One of her biggest takeaways? Graduation and licensure shouldn’t be the end of your education🎓➡️ Cheyenne encouraged our future professionals to seek out salons that invest in their growth and provide opportunities to continue learning. At White Sand Salon, that includes a strong focus on Redken education and opportunities for stylists to attend advanced education classes at Redken Symposium and the Redken Exchange, for example.

Thank you, Cheyenne, for being so vulnerable about the road that brought you here and for reminding our students that setbacks don’t have to be the end of the story. Sometimes they’re just part of finding where you’re meant to be❤️

Every haircut, manicure, express facial, chair massage, and service appointment was about more than just Back-to-School savings. From helping students step into a new school year feeling fresh and confident, to giving parents a chance to de-stress after a busy summer, to offering a little well-deserved pampering for our hardworking school system employees, we loved being part of our community’s back-to-school preparations with service discounts designed to make self-care more accessible for everyone. And with every client served, our future professionals gained invaluable hands-on experience, built their confidence and strengthened their skills as they prepare for their own future careers✂️💅💆‍♀️💈

This time, we’re switching things up. Instead of keeping things status quo, we’re opening Career Day interest to the broader beauty community in hopes of bringing new faces, fresh opportunities, and businesses we may not have had the chance to connect with in the past directly to our future professionals.

Whether you’re a salon, barbershop, spa, massage studio, med spa, nail salon, wellness center, mobile business, or another industry employer, if you’re looking to grow your team now or in the future, we want to give you the opportunity to get on our students’ radar.

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on three incredible members of the AIB family! ❤️ From educating and encouraging our future professionals to supporting them throughout their journeys, Suzanne, Nicole, and JoAnn each play an important role in making AIB what it is.

🎨Suzanne | Bradenton
Suzanne is our day Phase 1 Cosmetology Educator and has been with AIB since our first Bradenton class began nearly a year ago! Her beauty career started at just 18, and after earning an instructor scholarship, she became the youngest instructor in her school’s history. She went on to build a successful career behind the chair and owned and operated a full-service salon and boutique for 35 years. After Hurricane Ian destroyed her salon, Suzanne’s resilience led her back to education, where she now shares decades of real-world knowledge with our future professionals and helps them build their skills and confidence.

✨Nicole | St. Pete
Nicole is a Customer Care Team Member and Data Entry Specialist who has been part of the AIB family for a year and a half. She loves having a front-row seat to our future professionals’ journeys—from their first inquiry to watching them reach the finish line! A North Carolina native with a Southern drawl, Nicole is a proud mom of three, has been married for 22 years, and loves the beach, cooking, sports, and anything that lets her adventurous side shine!

👏JoAnn | Largo
JoAnn is our Business Office Associate and has been part of AIB for almost four years! One of her favorite parts of her role is encouraging our future professionals and celebrating their victories along the way. Outside of AIB, JoAnn is a licensed Zumba instructor who loves reading, movies, crocheting, dark chocolate, and her impressive earring collection! She also recently celebrated an exciting new chapter in life by becoming a grandma for the first time! 💚
