From Challenges to Confidence: Our micro-bit sessions with Exquitec Exquitec Education Technology SELECT Summer Camp

Our micro:bit sessions began with a few challenges and student feedback. Rather than shy away from the challenges, meaningful changes were made —and the transformation was incredible!

With increased effort, focus, active participation, and ownership, students stepped up and embraced the learning experience. For many participants, this was their first introduction to micro:bit programming, making their progress even more rewarding.

Over the four-day camp, participants transitioned from uncertainty to excitement as they explored coding, designed solutions, tested their ideas, and took ownership of their projects. By the final day, they had successfully completed their tasks—and, most importantly, did so with pride, confidence, smiles and laughter!

What started with a few hiccups ended as a powerful learning experience that demonstrated what happens when students are challenged, supported, and given the opportunity to take ownership of their learning.

STEMWonders Education and Enrichment is excited to serve as the STEM presenter/instructor for Week 2 of the Exquitec Education Technology SELECT Summer Camp, bringing an engaging micro:bit Coding & Projects experience to young innovators!

Through hands-on instruction and exciting projects, participants code, create, explore, and solve real-world challenges using micro:bit technology.

Our goal is to create meaningful STEM experiences that empower students to see themselves not just as technology users, but as creators, innovators, and future STEM leaders.

Write HTML Faster in VS Code ⚡

Instead of typing every HTML tag manually, Visual Studio Code lets you write code much faster with Emmet shortcuts. Simply type "!" and press Tab or Enter to generate a complete HTML boilerplate instantly. You can also use shortcuts like "div", "p", or "ul>li*5" to create HTML elements in seconds.

Mastering these shortcuts will help you code faster, reduce mistakes, and become more efficient as a web developer.
