Presented by the Recording Academy and Grammy Museum, our annual Music Educator Award recognizes teachers who have made significant strides in music education and dedicates their efforts to maintaining music education in schools.

As the winner, Mrs. Jimenez will be recognized during the Recording Academy’s Special Merit Awards Ceremony during Grammy Week 2026 and will receive a $10,000 honorarium and matching grant for her school’s music program.

Galileo has left us. This incredible genius musician , is and was an unbelievable visionary innovator who changed the Electric Bass forever. His musicianship , command of the instrument and his incredible time feel - ALL UNIQUE. He invented , pioneered and was responsible for the 6 string electric bass guitar , or contrabass guitar as he called it, and NO ONE COULD PLAY LIKE THAT ! NO ONE WILL EVER PLAY LIKE THAT. HE INSPIRE ME SO MUCH! Anthony , i Love you and i have always been grateful for all you have done to show us a level of musicianship that was singular ! There really aren’t enough superlatives to describe your genius . I am so very thankful for having the opportunity to speak with you , to know your humanity. I Love you.
