What a wonderful second week of school!🍎We are so grateful to have our students back in the building, filling our classrooms with joy! We thank God for the gift of each child and pray that he continues to guide, bless, and protect our students, families, and teachers throughout the year. 🙏

✏️What a wonderful first day of school! We are especially grateful to Fr. Blum for beginning our school year by blessing our classrooms and playground this morning. What a beautiful way to start the year, asking God to watch over our children, families, teachers, and staff throughout the year ahead. 🙏🏼 We are so happy to have our ECC family back! 💙

We had so much fun surprising Fr. Blum on Friday to celebrate his birthday! 🎉🎂The children were excited to sing “Happy Birthday,” present him with a special gift they helped make, and share a slice of pizza! We are so grateful for Fr. Blum. No matter how busy he is, he always makes time for our children, and their faces light up whenever they get to spend time with him.😊

💙A big thank you to Mr. Don Gildea and Mr. Bruce Villeneuve for building a beautiful new outdoor kitchen for the children on our playground patio! 🙏Our previous kitchen had served us well, but we needed one that was sturdier, weather-resistant, and designed to make materials easily accessible for all of our students. 💙We are truly grateful for your help and support!👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

And that’s a wrap on an incredible school year at SJECC! 🎉We pray all of our ECC families have a safe, relaxing, and joy-filled summer ☀️Thank you for allowing us to be part of your child’s journey. 🙏 A very special thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for pouring their hearts into the children each and every day. ❤️ One last staff group photo from our Fours’ Farewell program last night… a beautiful way to close another blessed year together! 📸✨

Yesterday our VPK class walked over to the church to practice for their Farewell program. Along the way, we were excited to spot a mama duck and her tiny ducklings waddling nearby too. It was a reminder of how much our students have grown this year as they prepare to spread their wings and begin a new adventure! 🦆❤️

🎉Today we celebrated Mrs. Hull and Mrs. Mellinger’s birthdays 🎂 a little early since their special days fall during the summer months! We are so grateful and blessed for these two wonderful ladies and all they do!

🌸We have been soaking up the beautiful weather this week, especially in our outdoor classroom! ☀️Our students have been busy little scientists and gardeners, watching the life cycle of a 🦋 unfold right before their eyes in the classrooms, searching for and identifying insects on the playground, and tending to their classroom gardens. 🐞🌱There was extra excitement when Room One’s carrots were finally ready to harvest! 🥕 The children were so proud to see the results of their patience, hard work, and care. What a beautiful way to learn through God’s creation each day! 🌎

🌸One of our favorite events of the year took place this morning, our Mother’s Day Tea! 🫖💐 Thank you to all of the wonderful moms who spent the morning with us! Our classes also visited our playground garden to honor our Blessed Mother by saying a prayer and placing flowers by her side. 💙🙏 We wish all of our families a very Happy Mother’s Day weekend. We are so grateful for the love, support, and blessings of our amazing school community! 💕 -SJECC Staff
