All classes are $399 each offered 7 day a week year round. Our Blacksmith classes are not your typical "cookie cutter" forging classes that are common elsewhere. You will not have to make the “project of the day” simply because your blacksmith instructor is not creative enough to give you opti

ons. If for example you're a fan of “Forged in Fire” and interested in Bladesmithing then I gear the instruction toward making a knife or dagger, Your knife, dagger, sword, battle axe, or whatever you choose to make will be "full tang" forged and fully prepared to accept whatever kind of handle material at a later date on your own. I will go over how you can clad your "weapons of minor destruction" with wood, bone, antler, leather, para cord and so on so you know how to do it. Even without any handle material whatever you choose to make will be quite usable even without adding handle material and some students never even bother to do so. If the student is not sure what he or she would like to make I'll give them suggestions such as fire pokers, plant hangers, power tool holders, pot racks etc... or better yet encourage you to think of something you would like to make and I'll help you make it happen all the while teaching you the foundational skills to continue learning this form of blacksmith art.

*Our classes are 1 full day of private and personalized instruction or about 7 hours. Class stops only when you learn all the basic forging techniques and most importantly finish making your project for the day. Whatever you decide to make you get to bring home your creation that day giving you instant satisfaction of not only learning a new skill but being able to bring home the "evidence" of this new skill to show off to family and friends. Unlike our competition we limit our class size to just 2-4 students. Private groups of 5 or 6 students all must register for their class together and will not be combined with smaller groups. Because of these small classes we can pack (a lot) more instruction and learning into our classes. You or who you are purchasing the class for will learn blacksmithing the "olde fashioned way" as people did hundreds and even thousands of years ago, from master blacksmith to apprentice.

Classes are available 7-days a week and $399 for 1 student and $498 for 2 students when we run our 2 student BOGO special. All you need are a sturdy pair of shoes or even sneakers, no open toe sandals or flip flops please. Classes start at 9:30 AM. You can bring a bag lunch or call Uber Eats etc... as there will be about a 30 min. lunch break provided and if the weather's nice you can eat out in the sculpture garden too. Classes are a full day of instruction and are generally about 6-7 hours long. We keep at it until you've mastered the material covered and your project is completed. Okay we're sure a lot of you remember "Wilbur" our mascot we saved from a life of misery on the streets and posted about a month ago here on Instagram & Facebook

Although we've had a lot of interest, no one has given Wilbur his forever home as of yet. So in the interest of adopting him while he's still a kitten, we're offering a (FREE) 4 student blacksmith & knife making class to anyone who gives this little adorable fella a home. That's a $1,596 value!

Although Wilbur has a great time being a shop cat and a blast in the garden at Wrought Iron Arts, it's not the most ideal life for the little fella

Wilbur has been neutered, received his 1 year rabies and FVRCP vaccines, received an overall health exam, been microchipped, received his 1 year county license, had his nails trimmed, flea medicine monthly and his adopters will receive all the documentation to prove so.

Wilbur has also tested positive for FeLV. It's required that he not be adopted by a family who owns other cats who don't have the disease.

FeLV can not be transmitted to humans or other animals, so if you don't have any cats or have a dog or other non feline pets he would be a fine addition to your family!

Meet “Wilbur” Wrought Iron Arts new mascot!

Wilbur is a loving and very sweet natured approximately 9 month old male kitten discovered hanging around the dumpster in the parking lot next door to Wrought Iron Arts.

We slowly gained the trust of this stray kitten to the point where we could not only give him a steady dose of love and affection along with regular meals and shelter but also the proper medical care that all pets deserve.

Wilbur has been house trained for the past couple of months using his litter box in the student guest house where he spends his nights while helping out in the shop as our shop cat during class days or helping Rob out in the yard chasing lizards, rabbits, birds, and butterflies in Wrought Iron Art's sculpture garden when we don't have classes.

Although Wilbur has a great time being a shop cat at Wrought Iron Arts, it's not the most ideal lifestyle for the little fella and we're looking for loving forever parents for him, so if you'd like a lovable little kitten or know someone who would please contact us at the number below.

So if you're looking for a “velcro cat” which Wilbur most certainly is, and a shorter term obligation, he's your cat if he chooses you, and to be honest he chooses everybody that comes to our home business that he meets almost daily rubbing up against everybody's legs looking for some affection. So if you'd like a “dog like” cat, Wilbur has a little dog in him that way!

In a perfect world without crappy diseases like FELV, Wilbur would be living in our home with our 2 other cats, but because it's infectious, he's relegated to spending his nights in our guest cottage and his days gleefully helping students make their sharp & pointy knives, daggers, axes, swords etc... in our blacksmith classes.
