Alumni Spotlight: TJ (The Foundation Schools of Alexandria)

As a graduate of The Foundation School of Alexandria, TJ received the specialized support she needed to thrive, and today, she’s paying it forward. As a Family Tracking Officer for the District of Columbia General Family Shelter, she finds purpose in helping families in need every day.

A devoted wife and proud mother of three boys, TJ credits The Foundation Schools for helping shape the person she is today.

“The skills I have today are because of The Foundation Schools, and I don’t think I would be where I am today without them.”

We are proud of TJ and the positive impact she continues to make in her community!

Our young scholars have been busy exploring the wonders of nature as they follow the fascinating life cycle of caterpillars!

Through hands-on observation, students are learning about growth, transformation, and the beauty of the natural world. From tiny caterpillars to chrysalises and finally beautiful butterflies, this experience has brought science to life right before their eyes.

With great excitement, our students recently released the butterflies, celebrating the culmination of their learning journey and witnessing firsthand the incredible transformation they observed every step of the way.

Happy !

Studies have found that up to 80% of children with autism never learn to ride a bike. At The Foundation Learning Center, we're helping change that

Through our school-based bike program, students with autism learn to ride in a safe, supportive environment while building confidence, independence, and lifelong skills.

Today, we celebrate every milestone, every achievement, and the joy that comes with riding a bike.
