It’s been a fun Homecoming Week! The kids and teachers did a great job getting into the spirit with Class Colors and DC/Marvel. We’re hoping for a nice dry parade at 9am, Touch-A-Truck, Kickball, Pep Rally, Hall of Fame dinner, HoCo Court Announcement, and a football game! Looking forward to seeing alumni back on campus too!

Today’s College Fair was an incredible success! We were excited to welcome more than 20 colleges and universities to campus, giving our students and families the opportunity to explore a variety of postsecondary options and connect directly with college admissions representatives.

Throughout the fair, students asked questions, gathered information, learned about academic programs, scholarships, admissions requirements, campus life, and discovered new opportunities for their futures. Parents were also able to join the experience, making meaningful connections and gaining valuable information to support their students throughout the college planning process.

The incredible turnout and engagement throughout the event reflected exactly what we hoped to accomplish—bringing college opportunities directly to our students and creating an environment where they can confidently explore what comes next.

Homecoming is one of our favorite traditions at IRCS, and we look forward to having our alumni back on campus to celebrate with us NEXT FRIDAY, Oct. 9th!
Alumni can join us in the Alumni Tent at 6:00 PM for an evening of Friday Night Lights, Eagle pride, and reconnecting with the people and place that were part of your IRCS story.

New this year, we will honor the inaugural inductees into the IRCS Athletics Hall of Fame, celebrating individuals whose accomplishments and contributions have made a lasting impact on our school and community.

The best thing about Wednesdays? Chapel! Today, we welcomed Dr. Hobbs as he taught about King Solomon and the gifts God has for us: Sound minds. Servants’ hearts. Skilled hands. We sang songs to God and about God. And we celebrated students of the month. It is, indeed, a great day to be an Eagle!

They learned about how he helps officers by using his speed, strength, and sense of smell to help protect the officers and keep people safe. Serving Saturday! The Eagles Cheerleaders are back in the community, serving our neighbors. The girls packed 1325 luminaries and 195 Rudolph hot cocoa mixes for Lotz Blessings. These are used for fundraising to help support their nonprofit to continue their mission to serve Title One schools, homeless, single moms, and many others in our community.

This morning, IRCS students, teachers, and staff gathered in the courtyard to pray. Pastor Asa led us, recognizing that there is power in prayer. Our students led in worship and prompts. We prayed for our school, our county, our nation, and all who haven’t yet met the Living God Who loves us so much. We are so thankful for a nation where we can pray freely, and for leaders who show us the One True God, Whose mercies never fail.
