TIGER ACADEMIC SPOTLIGHT!!!!!
Class of 2027 students Francisco Franco and Edgar Cortez completed a weeklong conference at UT Austin. They participated in Texas Boy State sponsored by the American Legion. This highly selective, leadership conference is for incoming seniors. They spent the week learning about government, state laws, and were tasked with creating your own state government.

This summer, our very own Martin High/Buckley junior Christopher Flores will attend the LEDA Scholars Summer Institute as part of Cohort 22. During the program, he will participate in college preparation, leadership development, and academic workshops alongside students from across the country. Christopher will attend both Princeton University and Yale University through the Summer Institute, where students strengthen their leadership skills, prepare for the college admissions process, and build connections with peers and mentors from diverse backgrounds.

SAVE THE DATE! July 21-23. Operation Border Health is scheduled for July 21-23, at the United South 9th Grade campus. Free services will include medical, dental, vision, and mental health services.

The LISD/UISD Driscoll Back to School Health Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, at the Games Auto Arena. School supplies, sports physicals, health screenings, and immunizations will be offered.

🍝👩‍🍳📊 Our Summer School CTE Camp students combined their culinary and business skills in an exciting hands-on project! Students prepared and presented business plans for four delicious pasta dishes: Chipotle Pasta 🌶️, Green Spaghetti 💚, Arrabbiata Pasta 🍅, and Alfredo Pasta 🧀.

Students showcased their creativity, culinary techniques, and entrepreneurial thinking as they pitched their products to a panel of judges: Mr. Mireles, Ms. Polanco, and Mr. Hernandez. 👏

🏆 After careful tasting and evaluation, the clear winner was the flavorful Arrabbiata Pasta! 🍝🎉

Congratulations to all of our students and teachers for making this a fun and engaging experience that blended Culinary Arts and Business education. We are proud of your hard work, innovation, and teamwork! 🌟🙌
