Congratulations to Cindy Dominguez, LISD Director of Guidance & Counseling / At-Risk Population, on being named the recipient of the 2026 Nuestro Orgullo (Our Pride) Award in the Professional Category by the Webb County Community Coalition (WCCC) of SCAN.

Mrs. Dominguez has dedicated more than 20 years to education. In her current role, she is committed to fostering students' academic, social, and emotional success while also serving as the LEA Project Manager for the SCAN-LISD AWARE Project. Through her leadership, more than 1,641 LISD employees have received Youth Mental Health First Aid training.

Best wishes to the Laredo Heat Soccer Club as they host USL 2 playoffs at PEG Energy Stadium on Friday night. The Heat takes on the Ft Lauderdale United FC team on Friday at 8:30 pm in the quarterfinals.
