Nixon Drama Nixon Drama is the official page of J.W. Nixon High School theater program in Laredo, Texas The J.W.

As our community grows, so does the talent from our Laredo Independent School District. Nixon High School Thespian Society is comprised of students dedicated to theatrical arts. Under the direction of Jose Flores and Marco Gonzalez, students have developed skills that have led them to have one of the strongest theater programs in South Texas; performing a wide variety of important works including

2013's immigration magical realism fantasy, ¡Bocon! (Nixon's 2013 Fringe Festival Play); regularly attending workshops and camps led by professionals across the state; graduating to study acting in Los Angeles and New York City; and winning numerous UIL One-Act Play competitions. Recently, Nixon High School became the first Laredo high school in 50 years to advance to the UIL One- Act Play State Competition. Their winning productions include:
