👏Congratulations to our VMT Concert Choir members who proudly represented VMT at the 2026 UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Buda!

Six singers competed individually before a collegiate-level judge, with five earning medals for their performances. Maya Lopez, Natalia Garcia, and Emily Cortes received Superior ratings, earning gold medals. Justin Munoz and Regina Ramos received Excellent ratings, earning silver medals.

We are proud of all those who participated and represented VMT with dedication and talent! Special thank you to Ms. Celia Hernandez for her guidance and mentorship. 🎶🏅

👏Congratulations to Sophia Cisneros for being selected as VMT’s campus winner for this year’s CTE Recognition Awards!

Sophia was nominated by her Commercial Photography teacher, Mrs. Joanne Valdez, for the light she brings to the program, her willingness to help and participate, and her dedication to always giving her best. Sophia continues to represent VMT and the Commercial Photography program with pride.

👏Congratulations to Crystal for earning Honorable Mention in the Texas Mental Health Creative Arts Contest for her digital artwork, “The Things That Keep Me Whole.”

Under the guidance of Mrs. Brooke Berrios, Crystal’s artwork will be featured in art galleries around Austin, helping continue the important conversation around mental health through creativity, honesty, and expression. We are so proud of you, Crystal!
